The Dirty South No-Prep Series’ dedication to peak performance and

The Dirty South No-Prep series takes the spirit of excitement and on-the-edge
street racing and puts it in a controlled, legal environment. The 2017
season will begin on the weekend of March 31-April 1 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi
and will stop a total of seven times across the states of Kentucky, Texas,
and Mississippi. Race winners from the various classes receive prizes
and series points in hopes of claiming the series championship.
No-prep racing is an exciting new form of racing that is catching on like
wildfire throughout the southern United States. No-prep racing differs
from regular drag racing in that the track is not “prepped”
for at least a day before the event. In a traditional drag race, a chemical
is sprayed over the track and then a tractor drags old tires over it to
initiate a chemical reaction that causes the track to become sticky, which
increases safety. However, many people believe no-prep racing balances
the playing field by making drivers race on an unpredictable surface.
